Mirror Vision and Hand Tracking

Experimenting with mirrored vision and correct(non-mirrored) virtual hand positioning.

The idea was to see whether having augmented display of tracked hands will improve navigation skills in a mirrored world. While it was relatively easy manipulating objects with the hands – since the contradicting video feed was ignored and the hands took precedence in making decisions, there were no noticeable improvements for balance or walking.

This was done using an Oculus DK2 and  a Leap Motion. The hand tracking was done with the Leap Motion and the live feed from the stereo camera was flipped.
